My Recent Interviews Discussing the Origins of the Cold War with the Sino-Russian Alliance and my Proposed Grand Strategy to Counter It
I also discuss my latest sphere of influence proposal , my cease fire proposal to end the war in Ukraine with a negotiated peace deal to avert World War Three and the future of US foreign policy
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping meeting in Beijing on February 4, 2022 where they declared their ‘no limits’ partnership
On October 21st, I was interviewed by author Nevin Gussack on his Populist Roundtable show discussing how to prevent the outbreak of World War III through a policy of peace through strength. He mistakenly listed me as a former Lieutenant Colonel even though I told him I wasn’t, but merely worked on the US Army HQ staff as a civilian in a GS-14 equivalent position working alongside Lieutenant Colonels doing the same job. This is not as impressive as being referred to as a General as I was by the Slovakian language article late last year in response to my October 2021 article “Make Spheres of Influence Great Again” in The National Interest but still pretty cool. ;) We discussed my proposed sphere of influence agreement and a myriad of related issues which proved to be a very interesting discussion.
On October 20th, I spoke at the Firm Foundation Expo at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. Here is a link to my presentation which was entitled “How the Globalists are Provoking World War III with the Sino-Russian Alliance.” I will publish a video of my presentation as soon as it is available. On October 12th, I was interviewed by America First conservative patriot Jason Preston on his “We are the People” show. We discussed how Ukrainian battlefield successes, due to its 3 to 1 battlefield superiority over Russian forces in Ukraine, are serving to maximize the dangers of Russian nuclear escalation.
The Great U.S. Foreign Policy Debate
I recently had a discussion with a supporter of a policy of providing essentially unlimited US military aid to Ukraine to help ensure Russia’s defeat, even though a major Russian defeat on the battlefield in which Ukraine was successful in cutting off the land bridge connecting Crimea with the rest of Russia would almost certainly provoke a Russian nuclear escalation. This discussion highlighted the debate raging between America First conservative realist Republicans in the US Congress led by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and neoconservative Republicans who support fighting Russia in Ukraine and China over Taiwan with a policy of ‘war through weakness’ led by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Liz Cheney (R-WY). I believe a policy of ‘peace through strength’ means that the U.S. should pursue a policy that makes America safer, stronger and more secure. Neoconservatives like Vice President Mike Pence and Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) believe that risking nuclear war and the complete and total nuclear/EMP annihilation of the United States of America for countries halfway around the world is a great idea which all Americans should support without reservation.
My dear friend and mentor Dr. Peter Pry who served as the founder and longtime Executive Director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security Dr. Peter Pry said that the idea of risking World War III with Russia over countries most Americans could not identify on a map was preposterous. As Dr. Pry wisely stated, our alliances with far flung countries like Poland and the Baltic states make us much less safe and secure because they serve as nothing more than nuclear tripwires that guarantee nuclear war with the Sino-Russian alliance even though the US has no vital national security interests in Eastern Europe at all. Most of America's alliances are essentially one way, rather than actual mutual defense agreements, committing us to risk the lives of 275 million Americans who would die in a nuclear or EMP war to defend 50 different countries that are too weak militarily, unable or unwilling to defend us if we were attacked. The only alliances that make us stronger our alliances with the UK and France which are nuclear great powers.
President Donald J. Trump doesn’t believe the U.S. should the destruction of our great country to defend Ukraine, Eastern Europe or Taiwan and he stated repeatedly he wanted to pull the US out of NATO to make sure millions of Americans didn't die except in self-defense of our nation and the freedom and liberty of our own citizens. US leaders would be very wise to follow his lead to ensure the future survival of our great country which stands today on the precipice of destruction not from our enemies within but from Russia, China and North Korea that will only attack us if we start a war against them first which basically Biden has already done in his undeclared war against Russia in support of Ukraine's autocratic leader President Volodymyr Zelenksyy. If we push to defend Ukraine and Taiwan to the point of war with Russia and China, the almost inevitable result will be the loss of our own liberty as Russia, China and North Korea would likely invade and occupy the U.S. within several months of a super EMP attack which kills up to 90% of our population.
Neoconservatives hold up former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill as an ardent opponent of appeasement despite the fact that he appeased the Soviets by surrendering half of Europe to Soviet genocidal control for half a century under the Yalta agreement, allowing the Soviets to annex part or all of eight European countries during the war instead of fighting to liberate every single one of them as General Patton wanted to do. Churchill was one of the greatest appeasers of evil totalitarian dictators in modern history but because he appeased a Communist dictator he has long been viewed favorably by the left. Neoconservatives are constantly warning of a second Munich Pact, claiming it would lead to a Third World War, when in fact it is their very policies of military confrontation and nuclear brinkmanship that are most likely to lead to the outbreak of a Third World War.
Meanwhile, former British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain is seen as a great appeaser for supporting the right of 3.5 million Germans to reunite with their fellow Austrian Germans as part of the Munich Pact even though he adamantly refused Stalin's offer to ally with Britain in June 1939 in exchange for Soviet control of 23 million East Europeans because he couldn’t bring himself to agree to allow millions of people to be occupied and annexed by a foreign power without their consent. While neoconservatives despise former British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain for supporting the right of 3.5 million Germans to reunite with their fellow Austrian Germans as part of the Munich Pact, did you also oppose Churchill's appeasement of 140 million East Europeans to Soviet control against their will as part of the Yalta Appeasement Pact? Neoconservatives don’t support defending U.S. borders, They only support defending the borders of other countries in which the US has no national interest in defending.
How to End the War in Ukraine
The solution to end the war in Ukraine and avert World War III couldn't be any simpler. Biden could urge Ukraine to accept Russia's cease fire offer and suspend all military aid to Ukraine so long as Russia honors it to give them an incentive to do so. A recent article revealed that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin actually called Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to request a cease fire on May 11th and now the stakes are much higher with an increasingly likely Russian nuclear escalation and Putin’s order to mobilize 1.2 million Russian army reservists. The war would be over by next week as Ukraine would be forced to accept it as well. I actually think there is a reasonable chance that Putin would agree to accept Ukraine's territorial gains as permanent and give up his claim to western Donetsk oblast in exchange for a Ukraine outside of NATO. It would have to be permanently neutral with no NATO ties or arms shipments whatsoever. The fact that Biden continues to refuse to talk to Putin strongly suggests he wants World War Three but it wont just be with Russia it will be with China and NK as well
The Biden administration and the liberal mainstream media continue to brazenly lie and mislead the American people by claiming Russia doesn't want peace when they have been offering peace since Day Two of the war and just offered a cease fire last week. The administration claims Putin is committing genocide when the daily Ukrainian civilian death rate has actually decreased since April from 63 times to 77 times lower than the daily death rate we inflicted on German and Japanese civilians during World War II. Finally, it claims Putin is fighting this war to conquer all of Ukraine all evidence to the contrary given Russia's peace proposal which was on the table from February-September to withdraw all their troops from 93.6% of the territory Ukraine controlled before the war. The fact that US leaders are so willing to brainwash, propagandize and misinform the American people merely goes to show just how desperate they are to get US citizens to continue supporting a war in manifest opposition to US national security interests. If the war was in our national interest, the Biden administration and their neocon surrogates in the Republican Party would not feel the need to lie to us about it.
Neoconservatives have denounced my recently published cease fire proposal which would keep Ukraine in control of 81-82% of its territory as appeasement. However, I view it as the best way to save Ukraine given it is likely to lose 100% of their territory to Russian annexation, occupation or a Russian proxy state control by spring following Russia’s full mobilization of 1.2 million reservists. With a cease fire the U.S. cannot be accused of appeasement because we would let Russia and Ukraine negotiate a peace deal instead of setting the terms. If Ukraine agrees to a cease fire we keep giving them economic cease fire. If they refuse all US aid gets cut. It is so dependent on us for support they will do whatever Biden tells them to do but instead Biden has outsourced US Russia policy to Kyiv letting Zelensky decide whether to provoke a Russian nuclear escalation or not in an attempt to ensnare us in an unnecessary world war over a mere border dispute between Russia and Ukraine the outcome of which would not aversely affect the US or our NATO allies.
I strongly support providing Ukraine with non-lethal economic and military assistance and their right to continue fighting and risk losing 100% of their territory rather than agree to lose only 6.4% of the territory under its control before the Russian invasion in exchange for a full Russian military withdrawal from the rest of Ukraine as I proposed in my 15 point compromise peace proposal back in June that provoked the Ukrainian government to place me on their black list. This Russian peace deal was on the table for them to accept until September 21st. However, the U.S. should not be in the business of fighting the war for Ukraine and telling it which Russian military targets to destroy and then giving them the heavy weapons to destroy them with them pulling the trigger. More importantly, the U.S. should not be attacking and destroying Russian targets ourselves as we likely did in the case of the Nord Stream pipeline bombings for which Putin is likely itching to retaliate against us with by destroying some critical US infrastructure when China joins the war likely early next year.
How to Divide the Sino-Russian Alliance
Russia is only an enemy because America’s and NATO’s policy of expanding NATO eastward and refusing to consider Russia’s legitimate security concerns has made it an enemy. Putin offered a mutual security agreement in December which Dr. Pry convincingly argued was more in the US national security interest than it was in Russia's national security interest which would have had the effect of returning Europe to the pre-2016 status quo where U.S., western NATO and Russian military forces were not present in Eastern Europe at all, which the Biden administration foolishly rejected. Dr. Peter Pry saw Russia as a potential US strategic partner to help us to deter Communist Chinese aggression and called for a strategic partnership between the US and Russia. However, even if Biden had merely provided Russia a written guarantee that Ukraine would never join NATO which was an open secret that it never would and cut off all NATO ties to Ukraine and supported the Minsk Agreement, Russia would have withdrawn its military forces and would never have invaded Ukraine in the first place. The entire point of my proposed national security strategy is to prevent wars from breaking out in the first place.
The fact is that Ukraine didn't need to fight Russia at all because they could have made a deal with Russia that didn't cede any of their territory before the war. Rather than cede 4-6.5% of territory to avoid major wars, the Biden administration and their neoconservative supporters in Congress would opt to risk losing 100% of a country's territory in order to fight a war even if there was no reasonable chance of winning. As a lifelong America First conservative nationalist, I strongly support the right of self-determination and of other nations to do whatever they want but that doesn't mean the US should give them a blank check of US military assistance provoking Russia to attack and destroy America. That is the most America Last policy imaginable and regrettably it’s a policy supported by former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Sen. Mitch McConnell and other neoconservatives who don't seem to care about defending America's borders but want us to spend $100-150 billion defending other country's borders and risk the destruction of America over what began as a minor border dispute in the farthest reaches of Eastern Europe
Former National Security Advisor John Bolton stated in his recent book that President Trump told him that Taiwan was militarily indefensible because it is 100 miles from Taiwan and we are 8,000 miles from Taiwan (actually 81 miles and 6,900 miles but who's counting so clearly Trump would not be willing to fight a war we were guaranteed to lose with China over Taiwan. Similarly, Trump has volunteered to lead a US negotiating team to end the war with Russia in Ukraine as well as his desire to pull the US out of NATO to avoid history repeating itself with great power alliances transforming a third regional war in Eastern Europe into a world war as was the cause with World Wars I and II proving he was our most brilliant foreign policy President in modern history by far. Until about a decade ago, I was very passionate about the need to risk nuclear war with the PRC over the defense of Taiwan, given that the Truman administration was responsible for betraying China to the Communists but after the correlation of forces shifted markedly in favor of the PRC, I was forced to reconsider my position. Since the 1980s, I have called for the US to help Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Germany develop their own nuclear missile forces so they could defend themselves against Sino-Russian attack.
I concluded the debate by telling him that I supported fighting wars against Russia in 1945 to liberate all of Eastern Europe and pushing Russia back to its 1938 borders and against China in 1951 to liberate not just North Korea but all of mainland China from Communist control with Nationalist Chinese help because at that time the US had nuclear supremacy over the Soviet Union and PRC. However, now that Russia and China have nuclear and EMP supremacy over us, the US must behave far more cautiously if we wish to ensure our national survival. I believe my proposed sphere of influence agreement is the absolute best we can reasonably hope for under the circumstances.
