House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s unbelievably reckless and ill-advised visit to Taiwan earlier this week will likely go down in history as one of the worst foreign policy mistakes in United States history. My wife has aptly referred to Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan as "an Archduke moment" potentially triggering an escalation spiral leading to another world war, much as the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand led to the outbreak of the First World War within five short weeks and the subsequent deaths of twenty million people. I have been referring to Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan as “a gift to Beijing” because it has given them the pretext they needed to commence Communist China’s long-planned move to reunify Taiwan with the PRC by military force before the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, in order to ensure President Xi Jingping’s re-election to an unprecedented third term as China’s dictator in November.

Nyquist, a member of the Committee on the President Danger China, revealed one of his Chinese sources was predicting a Chinese blockade of Taiwan, which would begin this week. I then published this article on Saturday warning that China would likely use Pelosi's visit as a pretext to begin their blockade shortly after her departure.
