Excellent summary, very factual.

Sadly, the vast majority of American (and western) people have absolutely no knowledge about this. Considering the nature of western mainstream media, it is unlikely that they ever will.

Anyone who even attempts to explain is labeled a Putin puppet, apologist, etc.

Yes it is very sad but true that anyone who attempts to counter regime media war propaganda with hard facts are immediately denounced as "a Putin puppet" as I was by the Ukrainians when I published my 15 point peace proposal back in June 2022.

In this excellent article by David Pyne, he refers to the war in Ukraine as "Biden's War." It would be more accurate to say it is Barack Obama's War. As I have shown in a post in 2023, the Biden administration is totally composed of Obama holdovers that Obama manipulates with a NOC in his various mansions, secure Network Operations Centers that can secretly communicate with those holdovers. I believe that Obama desires us to get into a European war with Russia -- or a Pacific war with China. Why? Because the additional strain of such unwinable wars will escalate to the point where the US collapses economically, morally, and spiritually. That will include the destruction of major cities whose residents find it impossible to live because of illegal immigration, inflation, crime and drug cartels. Even smaller cities and towns are feeling the strain of crime and drug use. All those conflicts will rise to the point where the citizenry will demand law and order. The government will then declare martial law and there will be no election in November. Obama will have succeeded in his declared plan to "fundamentally change America" into a Marxist nation. I pray that such an apocalypse will not happen and, by a miracle, America is reborn.

If Biden/Obama succeed in provoking our enemies to destroy America, I believe practicing Christians will band together to build a new country to replace the one we lost.

I believe you are right, and I am ready, willing, and able!

Thank you for the excellently researched article.

I would like to hypothesize why Biden wanted this war. Russia is the best candidate to contain China because of its resources and geographic location. While Donald Trump tried to get Putin on his side, the neoconservatives preferred to bring about regime change in Moscow. They probably hoped that the war would not last long because they assumed that the economic sanctions would break Russia's back very quickly.

Yes you are correct. Its extremely difficult for the US to deter China so long as we keep pushing Russia into a closer military alliance with Beijing. There was never any chance of the US achieving regime change in Moscow. Putin has become much stronger politically because of Biden's proxy war against Russia in Ukraine.

Excellent analysis, really summarizes how unnecessary this war was and how many missed opportunities there have been to stop it. One point for consideration. I understand from certain particular conservative perspectives the conflation of the Democratic Party with liberals and then with leftists. I would note though that the relentless cheerleading for this war and endless confrontation with Russia is really a characteristic of establishment Democrats, and their neocon Republican allies, rather than the actual Left (with whom I identify). There are many of us on that side of the spectrum who consider this policy as insane as you do. Unfortunately most of us have been intimidated by the party leadership into silence, at least on the Ukraine war. The only way we can stop this madness is to forge a working alliance between the Right and Left to oppose it. J.D. Vance made this point eloquently in a recent floor speech when he asked where the antiwar Left is on this. The warmongers have no problem working across party lines, and we have to do the same.

I could not agree more. I have been advocating the formation of a left-right alliance against the warmongers for a couple years now. I will correct the article to replace "far left" with "neoliberal" which are essentially the same as neoconservatives. I have long found common cause with classical liberals like yourself who continue to despise unnecessary wars and senseless slaughter as much as I always have.

Thanks, glad you agree. I've had some great discussions on this at Cato and American Conservative events, but I think the missing piece is connecting Members of Congress and their staffs in order to develop a coordinated approach on legislation. Maybe the pause in the House on the current mega-bill will provide some opportunity for that.

The most important thing to do with Russia is to suspend any further aid to Ukraine so on that front at least the GOP is doing something productive. Congress could also pass a resolution blocking the President from going to war with the PRC if they attack Taiwan but that's never going to happen. Ultimately, the only way it changes is if we elect Trump President.

Excellent article. Thank you so much for your service to truth and the cause of peace.

Just a small proofreading point:

At the end of paragraph starting "It is worth noting that it was the Western powers absolutist refusal to compromise that led to the unnecessary and disastrous prolongation of World War One..." you say:

"One can only hope and pray that Biden’s refusal to negotiate peace with Russia provokes a nuclear war that costs the lives of up to a billion innocents."

I don't think that you meant to say that, and assume that you just missed out the "does not"!

Well this could get dicey; once again history repeats - somebody cracked the German code - & - as usual - the Germans are the last to know about it:

“What was said in the call:

The officers discussed the operational and targeting details of Taurus long-range missiles that Germany was debating sending to Ukraine, as if this had already been agreed upon – and how to maintain plausible deniability so that Germany could avoid crossing the “red line” of direct involvement.

Gerhartz brought up various “tricks” that the Luftwaffe could use, including relying on “many people [in Ukraine] in civilian clothes who speak with an American accent,” but Graefe insisted that “there is no language that makes us a party to the conflict.”

Other officers spoke about providing the Ukrainians with both the missiles and the training to use them, as well as the satellite targeting information, possibly via Poland.”
