Why Vivek Ramaswamy is the Most Insightful and Courageous America First Conservative Running for President
Some first impressions after meeting with him at his campaign headquarters, why the risks of Russian nuclear escalation are increasing and links to my latest interviews including the American Journal
Earlier this week, I had the exciting opportunity to meet with and brief leading Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and appear on his podcast. He is a brilliant former biotech CEO who has amassed a net worth of around a quarter billion dollars and self-described 37-year old millennial who has invested millions of dollars into his own campaign. Vivek is also a very compelling speaker who has run a masterful campaign taking advantage of earned media to propel him into a third place tie with former Vice President Mike Pence who enjoys nearly universal name recognition earning praise from President Trump who said he liked Vivek and welcomed his continued surge in the polls. I got a chance to meet a number of senior members of his campaign staff, some of which served as former business executives which he recruited to join his campaign and all of which are very talented, extremely hard working and dedicated to helping him get elected as the youngest U.S. President in history.
Before I was asked to appear on his “Vivek Show” podcast on Monday, I had already been impressed by his political courage and his willingness to champion the America First cause. I had heard him say repeatedly on the campaign trial when asked about the war in Ukraine that he did not support sending any additional aid to Ukraine because our national interests were not at stake and he thought those funds would be better spent defending our southern border from invasion by 6.5 million illegal immigrants.
I didn't realize what an amazing and courageous America First conservative Vivek was until I met with him. During our podcast discussion at his rustic campaign headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, we discussed the urgency of implementing my proposed cease fire/armistice agreement to end the war in Ukraine, the existential threat of Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) attack as well as my proposed strategy to neutralize the Sino-Russian alliance. I am hoping that he brings some of these critical issues to the forefront of the upcoming presidential debates to spark a national discussion about what strategies America should undertake to save our great country from the existential threats we face.
My impression of him is that he is an original and unconventional thinker who is totally fearless and willing to do whatever is best for America no matter how contrarian those policy solutions might seen in relation to the prevailing liberal groupthink. I was amazed that Vivek instinctively understood and quickly grasped the importance of the existential national security threats and proposed real-world solutions I briefed him about and came up with a solution in about half an hour that I seem to recall took me over two years to propose and publish a couple decades ago.
I provided Vivek with a signed copy of the book I co-authored, “Catastrophe Now—America’s Last Chance to Prevent an EMP Disaster” which was rated the number one Hot New Release in National and International Security books on Amazon last month and he promised to read it while on the campaign trail.
He was very passionate about the need to reorient U.S. national security policy away from countering Russia towards deterring Communist Chinese aggression in the western Pacific. He is hardly alone in that regard given the fact that many foreign policy realists such as Dr. John Mearscheimer and many if not most America First conservative presidential candidates including Trump and DeSantis and members of Congress most notably Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) who have staked out the same position. What makes Vivek stand out from his presidential challengers is that he is willing to articulate substantive real-world solutions to get us out of the unprecedented geostrategic dilemmas America currently faces rather than just claim he can end a war in 24 hours without providing any specific details regarding how he could make that happen. I am not at liberty to say how he plans to do that or what he will say but I think its going to be pretty awesome and guaranteed to make some major waves in the policy world. I will be sure and share it with the subscribers of “The Real War” as soon as he goes public with it.
Vivek was later asked by a journalist if he opposed a one world government and he said he did and that if elected he would strive to oppose and fight it while also abolishing the corrupt FBI, which for the past seven years has served as what I have termed “the praetorian guards of the left.”
I was scheduled to fly home Monday afternoon but he asked me if I wanted to accompany him on a private jet to spend the day doing some campaign events with him and continue briefing him on national security strategy on the plane. I readily agreed to do so.
While in Kentucky, he campaigned against the woke left in front of enthusiastic crowds with conservative gubernatorial candidate and former Ambassador to the UN Kelly Craft who has been endorsed by a number of leading conservatives including Vivek, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY). I hadn’t visited Kentucky since I was a US Army officer three decades ago so I was happy to come back.
