Trump foreign policy and national security officials may join with fellow neocon leaders of both Houses of Congress to try to sabotage his attempts to make peace with Russia and China.
I agree that there is a little bit of a mixed bag on the Cabinet picks, but I am going to reserve judgement until I see what happens. I am hopeful that Trump learned from his first term and isn't going to get rolled by his Washington insider cabal.
I think with Vance and Tulsi Gabbard reinforcing his best instincts on foreign policy he may be all right. Also, I think Hagseth will help counter the warmongering by Rubio and Waltz and maybe Ratcliffe.
I admit I didn't read this carefully, however, Trump is a bluffer. He said as much. He liked Bolton because "he looked mean and was a hawk" and then Trump didn't have to actually wage war. He said. Does it ever occur to you that that is how he wants to appear for that reason? And Rubio voted not to fund the war in Ukraine last time. He knows he has to fulfill Trump's policies, too. And Rubio is a great communicator. Why don't you wait and see.
Sure it does. The US needs to counter BRICS with our own trade bloc and we should get Russia and India to join it as well after we end the Ukraine war nonsense and forge a new Russo-American entente based on mutual cooperation.
What makes you think that? That is exactly why Trump ran and he DOES have a lot of power still. Maybe relax for a bit and see. Drives me nuts that some of the people on here hate everybody and think it's actually a choice to vote against all of them. More choices or ranked choice is a huge problem as well. And I don't think redundant is the word you want. Irrelevant maybe?
An excellent, steady-handed overview and analysis. Thank you.
You bet. Glad you liked it.

Trump's cabinet is Israel First

Who cares!
US is redundant.
BRICS is coming and there is NOT anything the Western powers can do to stop this.
Does NOT matter who DT picks at this point.
Sure it does. The US needs to counter BRICS with our own trade bloc and we should get Russia and India to join it as well after we end the Ukraine war nonsense and forge a new Russo-American entente based on mutual cooperation.
Exactly who are you going to trade with?
Nobody believes US. Lies and lies.
I am sure Russia and China are dying to do trade with USA!
What do you have to sell?

Bullshit
Well that was thought provoking, cogent analysis. Why don't you expand on your single word post? Why do you think it's bullshit?
Wow! What a fascinating comment. JanL
