Why do you think the PRC would risk a blockade of Taiwan ? Surely that would

Result in China being removed from Swift and massive western sanctions ?

Because XI Jinping has been telling us China will retake Taiwan by force in the very near future likely by next year. They don't care about western sanctions. They have stockpiled years supplies of food, fuel and industrial raw materials for all out war with the US.

An excellent, steady-handed overview and analysis. Thank you.

You bet. Glad you liked it.

I agree that there is a little bit of a mixed bag on the Cabinet picks, but I am going to reserve judgement until I see what happens. I am hopeful that Trump learned from his first term and isn't going to get rolled by his Washington insider cabal.

I think with Vance and Tulsi Gabbard reinforcing his best instincts on foreign policy he may be all right. Also, I think Hagseth will help counter the warmongering by Rubio and Waltz and maybe Ratcliffe.

Trump did not make a mistake during his first term with his picks and he did nto make a mistake now. He is not and never was a "peace president" just like Obama who got the "peace award Nobel prize" never was a peace president. It is all smoke and mirrors and Trump talks a lot, talks forever and ever more adn it all sounds so good and wonderful like it did the first time around and I voted for him.

Telling Netanyahu to just finish the job in Gaza - like get rid of them all - is not a peace president.

Trump's cabinet is Israel First

Every single pick is a disaster with the exception of the Ice director and RFK possibly. Elon musk could be helpful. Time will tell. Every other person is a pro Isreal not America First which is why he was elected in the first place. People who voted for Trump are already upset by what is going on. We are “Occupied” and will be no closer to eliminating the deep state or staying out of war with Iran. If Trump was not in the pocket as isreal’s puppet we might stand a chance. That is not going to happen however. We the People are pissed off if these are the picks. Sickening. People really are clueless about what is actually going on and not doing the research on these traitors that are being put into office.

How many nukes do you think Iran has accumulated since 2006?

Is it possible it has over 150 warheads already?

If yes won’t that complicate any trump administration policy of maximum pressure on Iran ?

I admit I didn't read this carefully, however, Trump is a bluffer. He said as much. He liked Bolton because "he looked mean and was a hawk" and then Trump didn't have to actually wage war. He said. Does it ever occur to you that that is how he wants to appear for that reason? And Rubio voted not to fund the war in Ukraine last time. He knows he has to fulfill Trump's policies, too. And Rubio is a great communicator. Why don't you wait and see.

Rubio is a complete joke. If you know him you would understand this. However just look at his past to tell you everything you need to know about this power hungry fool.

Who cares!

US is redundant.

BRICS is coming and there is NOT anything the Western powers can do to stop this.

Does NOT matter who DT picks at this point.

Expand full comment

Sure it does. The US needs to counter BRICS with our own trade bloc and we should get Russia and India to join it as well after we end the Ukraine war nonsense and forge a new Russo-American entente based on mutual cooperation.

Expand full comment

Exactly who are you going to trade with?

Nobody believes US. Lies and lies.

I am sure Russia and China are dying to do trade with USA!

What do you have to sell?

Expand full comment

What makes you think that? That is exactly why Trump ran and he DOES have a lot of power still. Maybe relax for a bit and see. Drives me nuts that some of the people on here hate everybody and think it's actually a choice to vote against all of them. More choices or ranked choice is a huge problem as well. And I don't think redundant is the word you want. Irrelevant maybe?

Bullshit

Well that was thought provoking, cogent analysis. Why don't you expand on your single word post? Why do you think it's bullshit?
