As one might expect both works have been attacked as “historical revisionism” by The Usual Suspects & ignored by the western corporate media altogether who persist in promoting Studs Terkel’s myth of “The Good War”. No serious discussion about World War II can take place without the question being posed: if it was wrong for Germany to attack Poland Sept 1, 1939 why was it ok/ignored that the Soviet Union invaded Poland 15 days later? The carving up of Poland between Nazi Germany & the Soviet Union had previously been agreed to as a result of the Molotov-von Ribbentrop Pact of 1939. There are a number of books that back up the fact that Stalin planned to invade eastern Germany, western Poland and Romania in May 1941 but was spooked by Hitler's generous peace offer to the UK to withdraw German troops from 83% of German-occupied Europe in exchange for Britain's benevolent neutrality in a war between Germany and the USSR so Stalin delayed it to July 10, 1941 allowing Hitler to beat him to the punch by just 2.5 weeks.

Yes the sad fact is that it is Western arms shipments, intelligence sharing and continued Starlink access that has enabled Zelensky to continue the war, which has resulted in a mass slaughter of Ukraine's men. Without Western aid, Zelensky would have been forced to sign the Istanbul Agreement and Russian troops would have been fully withdrawn from all of Ukraine's prewar territory over three years ago saving a couple million brave Ukrainian soldiers from being killed and wounded in an unwinnable war.
